Have
you ever wanted more than one bike? You know
what I mean, one for touring, a one
for show, one for
night outings and one with the ability to pass
anything on the road. Well I found a ride that’s
all this in one! I know most people take the
time to
customize
their ride just they way they want it and ride
it and love it. But sometimes you want a little
different
ride.
Check this out.

Bobber Road Test
|
|
| Ralph,
a local builder with a manufacturing license, has been
building great bikes for several years. After success
with the old school Snap-on Tools Bobber, they decided
to go in to production building a limited number of
similar Bobbers. The build that I rode was old Yellow
#39. You get to choose the color or number you want
with purchase! Read

| A
quick look into one of the Valleys Custom Bike Builders.
Andy Brown has like most bike builders grown up riding
motorcycles. Unlike most builders he started out in
England and his focus at that time was engineering and
development of rally cars for large manufactures. He
has built and still does build rally cars for the US
circuit. MORE |

As
Brian says “It ain’t a chopper without
a Springer.” |
| I
met with Brian Parks (Parks Custom Springers) the other
day. And out of his little shop come some really great
springer front ends for choppers. Brian manufactures
several springer models. They include the standard,
narrow, wishbone narrow and the new big boned springer
models. Full

| For those of you that do not know about
Western Tails Ranch, keep an eye out
west for one of the biggest venues to come along in
a long time. I met briefly with Budd Kramer, GM and
owner of the 12-acre ranch last Wed the 29th. In the
70s Budd built choppers before they were popular. From
there he has had his hands in many different ventures.
Now he is focusing on creating a new place in the western
valley. For the past several months, they have been
refurbishing, renovating, and remodeling the Ranch for
what they hope will be crowds of barbecue, western music,
and western fun-loving fans. This place really looks
great. If you like Grease Wood Flats, you will love
this place. Here
is their flyer for Bike Week. |

Biker
Haven
There is a new leather apparel shop that just
opened in Chandler called “Biker Haven.” Mickey
– the owner and great hugger – is very excited
to be a part of the local biker community. She told me that
they would like to work with some of their friends and open
a biker mall, specifically biker-related businesses. She said
that she already has several businesses that want to join
her in the venture including a tattoo shop, bar and restaurant
and maybe a jewelry store.
Sounds interesting? Call her if you have any
ideas or would like to work with her on this project. Their
Web site is http://bikershaven.org
Southwest
Trikes
Jim with Southwest Trikes is excited to introduce
the all-new trike called the Stallion. It is a custom build
from the frame up with a Ford 4-cylinder inline engine and
a steering wheel. They claim that it will corner as good as
a Corvette. Ask Jim about it. Southwest Trikes’ Web
site is http://www.southwesttrikes.com
Rokem & Sockem (Source: Chandler
Republic, January 18, 2006)
Good ole Ralph, owner and manager of Rockem
and Sockem has his hands in a lot of businesses. He’s
a commercial airline pilot who builds custom motorcycles,
his mother runs a bail bonds company and his ex-wife runs
his mortgage company. Now, Chandler resident Ralph Pnndoph
and his family, including current wife and flight attendant
Lisa, plan to open a motorcycle-themed restaurant in a long-idle
banquet hall in north Chandler and of course the name is Rockem
& Sockem Roadhouse.
To top all of that, Eric Bischoff of Carefree
and Jason Hervey of Cave Creek, who produced the NBC reality
show I Want to be a Hilton made a synopsis and promo tape
in September and are offering it to the networks. Bischoff
spent about six months with the family, and Lion’s Gate
Entertainment produced the promo, Hervey said. The working
title is called: Taking Care of Business.
Sounds like Ralph needs more to do. Next time
you see Ralph, you will have to ask him about his movie career.
Keep up the good work Ralph. His Web site is http://www.rockemandsockem.com
Boss Hoss
Jeff, owner of the new Boss Hoss in Scottsdale,
will be having their grand opening during AZ Bike Week. You
may have seen their prize ride, the Viper motorcycle with
a V-10 engine that puts out 580 HP running around town. Jeff
told me that they are ready to release the new Viper with
upgraded accessories. Seems that the bike was a great success.
I know that wherever he rides, the machine gets a lot of attention.
I was told that one night he found the throttle limit while
going about 80. The onlookers said that fire was screaming
out the exhaust and the rear tire was smoking like a Nascar
on the winners lap. That puts a whole new meaning to the word
zoom. If you see Jeff, ask him about the new Viper. Visit
their Web site at http://www.bossofthedesert.com
