About Phoenix Bikers llc and Kirk Johnson
I'm Kirk Johnson, an avid biker, webmaster and the creator of phoenixbikers.com. This website started out in 2002 as a hobby. I wanted to know more about the motorcycle resources in the Phoenix area. At the time, I knew all of the Harley-Davidson Motorcycle dealers had websites and that most custom bike shops had websites, but to try and find them under all their different names was a real struggle. As I started amassing all this information - I kept thinking I should build a website and share that information, instead of keeping all this valuable information to myself - So that's what I did, thus www.phoenixbikers.com was born.
Gathering all the information took a lot of time, work and phone calls. As time went on, I wanted to know what was going on in the local market - so I added the events page with links. Next, I added information about local Bars/Grills and leather shops. The Website was a great a single point collection everyone could use to learn about the biker community. Since it's creation in 2002, the website has taken on a life of its own as more and more people found out about it. As of May 2003, I was getting about 10,000 hits per day. 2 years later, in May 2005 - I was getting about 15,000 hits per day. In May of 2007, it was getting 18,000 hits . To this day, I still rank right up there with millions of hits per year. I have since added two other sites that may be of interest, www.motorcycletestdrive.com and www.phoenixmetriccycles.com.
In 2013, I updated the site for the new media viewers. Because iphones and Droid have taken over just about everyone's pockets, I decided it was time to make http://www.phoenixbikers.com/ scalable so it could be viewed on all technology platforms. Equally important, I cleaned up the site and made it more relevant.

PS, a little history
My first bike was a 650 Triumph Bonneville. I purchased that when I was abut 17 back in the 60"s. I had that for several years and then decided to spend the next 30 years riding and racing in the dirt. Over that span, I had several Yamaha's , Suzuki's and Honda's. 2001 I bought my first Harley. Then in 2007 I upgraded to the 2007 Turbo Sportster. The Turbo was installed by Nick Trask from Trask Perfornmace. After spending many hours touring the SW I decided that sport touring was my thing and this was the kind of riding I most enjoyed. So I purchase the 2005 Yamaha FJR. Below are some pictures of the last three motorcycles.
All three pictures were taken on different trips through Utah. In the background
is the Colorado river on Hwy 95 about 60 miles south of Hanksville or about
90 miles north of Mexican Hat. One of my favorite runs
