Patriot Parade Sept 11, 2002 |
On September 11, 2002, over 5,000 bikers participated
in the Patriot Parade. Each division, or group of bikes,
represented persons who lost their lives in the tragic events just one year
ago.
Live to ride! Ride to live!
Special thanks to "W" Steven Martin and Chandler and Phoenix officials for organizing an event that showed
"we will not forget". Bikers from all over Arizona met at Snedegar Park. As motorcycles got ready to roll;
Chandler residents camped out up and down Queen Creek and Alma School. Every inch of the way,
waves and thumbs up were displayed as signs of support. Along I-10; employees took a moment away
from work to line the fences and semis honked their horns. Children and parents stood atop the bridges
and proudly displayed American flags. The 30-mile ride ended safely in downtown Phoenix at the capitol.
It is our understanding the entry fees are being used toward an Arizona Police Memorial.
We will not waiver.. we will not tire.. we will not falter.. we will not fail..
