Colorado Trip May 2008

Snow

Here are some pictures from our trip to Colorado in late May 2008.  When we left Phoenix it was 109 degrees.  Then after a couple of days there was a cold front that came through and the temperatures plummeted.  This picture was taken on the way back to Phoenix as we neared Flagstaff about 6pm.  It was 37 degrees and snowing.   We refueled and got out of there as quick as possible, we did not want the temps to dip below freezing.  It was a long day.  We left central Colorado at 8 am and got back to Phoenix around 9pm after 700 miles. Brrr.  Thanks to a good rain suit and an electric vest the trip was not too bad.

Here is a short clip from our trip down from one of the many summits that we traveled. Yes, it was fun!
